Fundraisers made a splash at a local swimming pool by taking part in a sponsored swimathon.
Swimmers helped to raise £660 for Marie Curie Cancer Care by taking part in the event at Glossop Swimming Pool.
Swimmers of all ages and abilities helped to raise vital funds by swimming distances ranging from 1.5 kilometres to five kilometres.
Funds raised by taking on the Swimathon Distance Challenges will help Marie Curie Nurses provide free end of life care to terminally ill patients in their own homes or in one of the charity’s nine hospices.
Anyone interested in taking part in next year’s swimathon can visit the website www.swimathon.org for further information, news and updates.
