Torquay midfielder Joss Labadie has been handed a 10-game suspension and a £2,000 fine by the Football Association after being found guilty of violent conduct - following the team’s Chesterfield clash.
Labadie, who scored the winning goal for the Gulls against Rochdale on Tuesday night, was involved in an alleged biting incident involving Chesterfield’s Ollie Banks in their League Two meeting last month.
Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, the violent conduct charge was found proven and Torquay confirmed they will consider their options before deciding whether to appeal the decision.
A club statement said: “Torquay United can confirm we have received notification of the verdict from the FA on Joss Labadie’s misconduct charge. The Club will now consider our options before deciding whether to appeal.”
