TWO Peak primary schools are among the best in the country.
Chinley Primary School and Litton CofE Primary School have featured in a prestigious Government table.
The list reveals the top 200 primary schools in the UK.
At both schools last year, 100 per cent of year six pupils achieved Level 4 in English and maths.
Peter Lambert, headteacher at Chinley Primary School, said: “We’re very pleased – this is a great achievement.
“All our children and staff have worked very hard and we’re going to keep it up.”
Bridget Hanley, headteacher of Litton CofE Primary School, added: “This is a tremendous achievement for the school, brought about by the hard work of everyone.
“We’re all set for more success.”
