Quality not quantity at school

Waiting for Video...

This week we’ve visited one of the country’s smallest primary schools as part of our popular new feature.

Primary Focus showcases group shots from the county’s wonderful schools and on our website you can watch videos of pupils learning, singing and more!

Derbyshire Times photographer Jason Chadwick has visited Stoney Middleton Primary School to capture an adorable shot on page 32 of this week’s Derbyshire Times.

What’s more, Jason filmed a wonderful video of pupils singing – just click play on the above video.

Headteacher Jackie Conacher said it was a case of quality not quantity at the tiny Peak District school, which has just 13 pupils.

She added: “We’re a very small but very special school.

“There’s a really close-knit feeling here – the children enjoy coming to school and have wonderful relationships with staff members.”

If your school would like to be involved in a future edition of Primary Focus, call 01246 504526, email comment@derbyshiretimes.co.uk or use our Twitter or Facebook.
