Prolific burglar jailed

Sean Sisson

Sean Sisson

A prolific burglar who raided more than 20 homes across north Derbyshire has been jailed for seven years.

Sean Sisson, 24, admitted targeting homes in Glapwell, Doe Lea and Scarcliffe during the last year.

He was charged with three burglaries committed on East Street and Bramley Road, Doe Lea and Main Street, Scarcliffe between December 2011 and March 2012.

He pleaded guilty to those offences and asked the judge to take 22 others into account when passing sentence at Derby Crown Court on Tuesday, August 21.

He told police of homes he had burgled and officers conducted searches through crime reports, matching them up to what Sisson had confessed to. Police then contacted each of his victims to tell them the culprit for their crime had been caught.

Sisson also admitted to a robbery at Cash-4-Clothes shop in Chesterfield in November 2011 and possessing heroin.

Sisson, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to all charges and was jailed for seven years.
