The Environment Agency is advising people to remain vigilant and prepared for flooding in the Midlands.
The agency issued the warning, which applies to parts of Derbyshire, as heavy rain is forecast across the region today.
An Environment Agency spokesman said: “The rain will fall on already saturated ground and cause flooding from rivers.
“Where we get heavy downpours, we may see surface water flooding – caused when rain overwhelms drainage systems.
“Environment Agency teams have been working round the clock, with other emergency responders, checking flood defences, clearing blockages and monitoring river levels.
“People are urged to stay away from dangerous flood water, and not to walk or drive through it.”
