Speaking at the inquest, Police Constable Darren Parkin, of the Collision Investigation Unit at Ripley, said: “Mr Raynor was riding his Honda CBR motorcycle along Ringwood Road from the direction of Chesterfield towards Staveley when witnesses stated that he accelerated harshly and, in doing so, pulled a wheelie.

“After pulling the wheelie, his bike crashed into the driver’s side of a green Fiat 500, driven by John Turner, who was performing a U-turn in Ringwood Road.”

Mr Raynor, who worked at The Guinness Partnership, was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified at the scene by his long-term partner Tracy Banks.

The court then heard that a report by pathologist Dr Deidrie McKenna said that Mr Raynor suffered extensive injuries.

Senior coroner for Derbyshire, Robert Hunter, set a provisional date for the resumption and completion of the inquest for Friday, August 12, 2016.
