Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 58-year-old man missing from a nursing home in Dronfield.

Kevin Herbert left Brookview Nursing Home, Holmley Lane, at about 9.50pm on Wednesday and was reported missing a short time later.

Mr Herbert is 5ft 7in, of stocky build, with short cropped hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a red football shirt and jeans.

A spokesman for Derbyshire police said: “Mr Herbert left on foot and is not thought to have any money with him or access to a vehicle. He may appear confused.

“Officers are also asking residents in the area to check their gardens and outbuildings in case Mr Herbert has taken shelter.”

Police are urging anyone who sees a man fitting this description to contact them on 101.
