Joy and cheer were brought to families across Derbyshire - as they welcomed new arrivals over the festive season.
Proud parents David Ketley and Donna Henman received an extra special present on Christmas Day with the arrival of their daughter Lucy.
After waiting for two weeks for their baby the couple, of Spital Lane, Chesterfield, were surprised when she finally made an appearance at 1am on December 25.
Full-time mum Donna, 28 and David, 22, who works at Halfords, said Lucy was the best gift for big brother Charlie, 20 months.
Donna said: “She was two-weeks over due so it was a huge surprise for her to arrive on Christmas day.
“We were back home by 8am and opening our presents.
“It didn’t seem real, it was like a fantasy.”
“Charlie just wants to squeeze her all the time.
“She was a very nice Christmas present for him,” she added.
Lucy, weighing 6lb 5oz, was born at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
It was an extra special start to the new year too as parents at Chesterfield Royal Hospital toasted 2013 by welcoming new lives into the world.
