John Lamb, 70, a retired local businessman is getting ready to skydive from 15,000 feet to raise money for Ashgate Hospice.

A grandfather is reaching new heights to support Chesterfield-based Ashgate Hospice.

To celebrate his 70th birthday, John Lamb a retired Derbyshire businessman, aims to take part in a charity skydive from 15,000ft to raise money for the hospice.

John said: “We will leave the aeroplane and free fall and I am really looking forward to the experience.”

The OAP has had to lose over three stones to be eligible for the jump which is planned to happen later this month depending on the weather.

It will take place from Hibaldstow Airfield, near Brigg, in north east Lincolnshire.
