Memorial event for Bradwell teenager

editorial image

editorial image

A memorial service remembered a Peak District teenager who tragically died last year.

Kyle Hancock, 18, of Bradwell, died of sudden adult death syndrome five weeks after starting a degree in sports journalism at the University of Creative Arts (UCA) in Surrey.

Kyle’s family travelled down to the university for the ceremony which was attended by a number of students and staff.

A memorial bench – commissioned by UCA Vice-Chancellor Simon Ofield-Kerr – was placed in the grounds of the university to provide a permanent memorial to Kyle.
