Meeting to discuss future of health services

The public is invited to a meeting to discover how health priorities will be determined across the Dales.

The Dales locality of the NHS North Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will host the meeting, which will take place at the Terrace Rooms of the Whitworth Centre, in Station Road, Darley Dale, on Wednesday, January 23, between 6pm and 8pm.

Clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) have been established as part of the Government’s NHS reforms to shift decision making as close as possible to patients. NHS North Derbyshire CCG will, from April 2013, be responsible for designing and buying health services on behalf of local people in the Derbyshire Dales.

At the meeting patients and members of the public can find out more about the CCG and input into the group’s plans.

These plans include the development of a number of health priorities, including how the CCG can better meet the needs of the Dales’ ageing population and improve care for people suffering with mental health problems.

To book a place contact Helen Butler on 01246 514026 or email helen.butler@northderbyshireccg.nhs.uk. Light refreshments will be provided.
