An event will raise funds so a talented young cyclist who has been touted as a future Bradley Wiggins can buy a new bike.
Patrick Smart, 17, of Tansley, who rides for Matlock Cycling Club, is looking to pursue a career as a professional cyclist.
However, the teenager’s 25-year-old bike is not competitive enough and now needs to buy a better one.
The fundraising event will take place at Twenty Ten, Matlock, at 7.30pm on Thursday, March 14. Tickets are £5 and include a free drink. There will be music by Motion Replay and Benji CJ as well as auctions.
