A MAN has been jailed for drugs offences after illegal pills he ordered online were intercepted at Coventry Airport.

Officers from the UK Border Agency intercepted the package being sent to an address in Shirebrook on July 5, 2011, and handed it over to Derbyshire police.

The package was found to contain 6,000 Diazepam pills which were seized by officers.

The package was then sent on to the address on Recreation Close, Shirebrook, without the pills inside.

It was signed for by Dean Hemingray, 25, who was then arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply Class C drugs and possession of Class B drugs.

He pleaded guilty to the offences and was jailed for 14 months following a hearing at Derby Crown Court.
