The police were called when two HGVs were involved in a stand–off on a rural road – blocking it for other traffic.

Shortly after 1pm today (Thursday, May 29) a member of the public reported to police that neither lorry was willing to move after the two heavy vehicles came to heads on Via Gellia Road, near Bonsall.

This meant no other vehicles could pass and traffic built up on both sides of the road.

The matter was resolved shortly afterwards and the road cleared.
