Shoppers are being invited to learn free first-aid skills this weekend.

St John Ambulance will have a marquee at Vicar Lane Shopping Centre in Chesterfield between 9am and 5pm on Saturday.

Carl Makins, of St John Ambulance, said: “As the nation’s leading first aid charity we believe that no-one should suffer from the lack of a trained first aider.

“With basic first aid skills, anyone can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved for someone at home, at school, while playing sport or just out and about.

“We are very pleased to be able to hold this roadshow.”
