Visitors to the Peak District moors can see what it takes to become a conservation volunteer.

The Eastern Moors Partnership, a joint venture between the RSPB and the National Trust, is holding a Volunteer Taster Day offering people the chance to gain hands-on experience in conservation volunteering on January 13.

Kathy Clarke, visitor services manager for the Eastern Moors Partnership, said: “Volunteers are extremely important to the work we carry out on the Eastern Moors.

“Without their help, we wouldn’t be able to complete a lot of vital tasks which are important to the conservation of the area.”

For further information on joining in with the event or becoming a volunteer, contact the Eastern Moors team on 07738 738844 or 07801 136356, email enquiries@easternmoors.org.uk or visit www.easternmoors.org.uk.
