Visitors to the Peak District moors can see what it takes to become a conservation volunteer.
The Eastern Moors Partnership, a joint venture between the RSPB and the National Trust, is holding a Volunteer Taster Day offering people the chance to gain hands-on experience in conservation volunteering on January 13.
Kathy Clarke, visitor services manager for the Eastern Moors Partnership, said: “Volunteers are extremely important to the work we carry out on the Eastern Moors.
“Without their help, we wouldn’t be able to complete a lot of vital tasks which are important to the conservation of the area.”
