A fire crew was called to Tansley at the weekend after a hot plate caught alight.
The firefighters from Matlock attended Thatchers Croft, in Tansley, at 8.43am on Saturday morning.
When they arrived at the property they found the fire had been put out.
They officers used a positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate the premises following the incident.
They had finished by 8.54am and finally left the scene at 9.04am.
