Residents are invited to help shape the future of the region’s ambulance service - at a meeting today (Tuesday, October 9).
A meeting will taking place from 7pm at the Parish Centre in Stonegravels.
The public can share their views on the changes to the future of East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Bosses say the proposals will make the ambulance service more efficient and effective.
The plans include creating a ‘Super Station’ in Chesterfield but could also see ambulance stations closed across the county.
Dr James Gray, East Midlands Ambulance Service Medical Director, said: “Our current buildings are in need of major repairs and refurbishment, with an estimated cost of £13m needed to put them right.
“Fifty years after some of them were built, some are not in the best place to allow us to respond quickly nor are they based in the right places to achieve the most effective service.”
The consultation runs until December 17.
