NATIONAL care home provider Hill Care has appointed a new national Operations Director to its head office in Chesterfield.

Having previously held the same role at Cheshire-based Four Seasons Health Care, Mandy Vernon is responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of staffing, care and resident support are upheld at Hill Care’s full portfolio of care homes.

Mandy began her career as a nurse at the Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Royal Hospital, before moving into the care home industry with St Andrews Homes and rising up to Regional Manager and Operations Director at Four Seasons.

The 48-year-old joins Hill Care following a career break where she undertook some crisis interim management work and began studying for her MBA.

Mandy said: “After taking a break, I was searching for a new challenge, and when the chance to join Hill Care came up I leapt at the opportunity.

“I found it to be a very warm and welcoming company, and I knew it to be one to have extremely high standards. It was an organisation that I really wanted to be a part of, and I knew it would be the next step up for me to enhance my career.

“No two days are the same, and I feel proud to work for a group that really puts the needs of its residents first.”
