Festive cheer swept through Chesterfield as the town’s Christmas lights were switched on.
Thousands of families descended upon Chesterfield for the switch-on, which took place next to the Crooked Spire, on Sunday afternoon.
This year’s event was full of Christmas spirit and musical entertainment and boasted a traditional feel with special guest appearances from Charlie Dimmock, the Organic Fairy in the Pomegranate Theatre’s pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk, plus the man of the moment, Santa Claus.
