The award-winning American actress and former fashion model’s maternal grandmother Nellie Dicken, was born in Sawley.

Her great-grandparent Henry Dicken was from Chesterfield while her great-great grandfather Robert Dicken lived in Wingerworth and great-great grandmother Ann Marsden was from Wirksworth.
