A SUB-ZERO frost is expected overnight between Saturday evening, January 19, and Sunday morning, January 20, with more warnings of dangerous icy conditions across Derbyshire.

Forecasters have predicted temperatures could fall as low as minus two degrees centigrade overnight with some rain and more snow to come during the coming week.

The AA recovery service has warned motorists to be mindful of ice on untreated roads.

East Midlands Airport returned to normal today after flights had been suspended following a snowfall on Friday.

Some families and youngsters have also been making the most of the weekend winter weather and have been enjoying snowball fights and sledging in the parks.
