Derbyshire kids set challange of reading throughout summer

It's good to read. Derbyshire County Council Cabinet Member for Health and Communities Dave Allen and author Josh Lacey are joined by pupils from Abercrombie Primary School in Chesterfield for the launch of the Summer Reading Challenge

The council has set youngsters in the Dales the challenge of reading six books form their local library over the summer holidays.

Derbyshire County Council aims to get children reading by giving them stickers throughout the challenge and a medal if they complete it.
