Darts team help blind Darley Dale girl to read braille

A darts league have hit their target of helping a young blind girl to read.

Ashford and District Darts League contributing £1,250 towards the cost of a braille machine for nine–year–old Sadie White, of Darley Dale. The youngster, who attends Rowsley Primary School, can now use the machine at home to help her read braille.

Jenny Webster, darts league secretary, said: “She had been using a braille machine at school, but couldn’t take it home. Now she’s got her own, so she’s going to get homework.”
