AMBER Valley Borough Council is offering free start up business advice for anyone looking to start a retail business in the Market Town of Ripley.
The scheme offers one to one business support to give new businesses the best opportunity, discussing business plans, marketing, legal, licensing and specialist retail advice.
Using independent specialist business advisors, potential new businesses can also get help with finding the right premises and on how to seek a loan from the bank.
The scheme, which starts on October 22, is primarily focussing on the Ripley area, however, the council is also inviting people looking to start a retail business anywhere else in Amber Valley to get in touch.
Cllr Liz Bowley, Cabinet Member for Developing Places to Live and Work, said: “The scheme is part of a number of measures being introduced as part of the Ripley Masterplan which has a range of objectives aimed at boosting the local economy. We hope that people, who may have been confused about where to start, will pick up the phone and take advantage of the free guidance and support needed to start a retail business.”
