POLICE investigating the circumstances around a woman’s body that was found in a
reservoir have released her name.
Joy Wilding, 58, of Stanley Avenue, Ripley, was formally identified this afternoon, Wednesday, November 21.
Police were alerted by a dog walker on Monday, November 19, at 7.45am, to a body
in the open water of the reservoir which is next to Butterley Railway Station, Butterley
Hill.
A post mortem examination has been carried out today and police are not treating
the death as suspicious.
