Commemorative coins stolen during Chesterfield burglary

Police in Chesterfield are appealing for information after jewellery and foreign currency were stolen during a burglary at a flat above a takeaway.

Sometime between noon and 10.30pm on Tuesday, December 11 thieves broke into the flat above a takeaway on Chatsworth Road.

They stole a number of commemorative gold coins showing the Canadian leaf, a $1,000 Hong Kong note, some sterling and jewellery including gold bracelets two gold necklaces, diamond set gold earrings and four jewel set rings.

Police are appealing to anyone with information and asking businesses that exchange money to be aware of Hong Kong or Canadian cash being brought in.
