Cannabis and suspected cannabis plants were found during two drug raids.

A 30-year-old man was given a formal warning after a small amount of Cannabis was discovered following the search at a house on Wilson Close, Danesmoor, on Tuesday, February 12.

On Thursday, February 14 a warrant was carried out at a house on Slater Street, Clay Cross, and a number of suspected Cannabis plants were discovered.

Officers from the Clay Cross Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team set up the warrants following information from the local community.

Team sergeant Aidan Stones said: “We are grateful to members of the public for their help, and I hope this will show that we will investigate and act on any information that comes forward.

“Enquiries still ongoing to trace the tenant of the property on Slater Street and I would ask anyone with information to contact us.”

Anyone with information relating to drugs or any other crime can call Derbyshire police on 101, the non emergency number, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
