A pervert who downloaded and distributed pornographic images of children while working as a pub boss has been jailed.
Peter Warry, 37, was assistant manager of a pub in Baslow when he committed the offences, which came to light when the schoolboy son of a colleague borrowed his laptop to do homework.
The court heard that when the youngsters turned the computer on indecent images appeared on the screen.
A search of Warry’s car found another computer containing more than 200 images of indecent acts involving young children, some in the most serious category of extreme pornography.
Police discovered videos as well.
He had downloaded material and burned some on to DVD to increase his computer’s memory capacity.
Warry, now of New Street, Newport, Gwent, South Wales, admitted ten charges of making indecent photographs of children and six charges of distributing such photographs.
He told police he had shared some images via online chatroom on MSN.
He further admitted two charges of possessing extreme pornographic images involving animals.
The offences took place at Baslow on various dates between October 2010 and March 7.
Warry was sentenced to 12 months in prison.
He was also disqualified from working with children and must sign the sex offenders register.
