Cllr Alan Charles Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire

Cllr Alan Charles Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire

The search is on for a Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner to help Alan Charles in his pioneering new role.

The successful candidate will receive an annual salary of almost £57,000 and will become an integral component in delivering Derbyshire’s policing policy.

Mr Charles said: “I am looking for a good communicator and a good listener that has experience in strategic planning and overseeing multi million pound budgets. It’s a highly demanding role so it is very important that I make the right choice.

“It must be someone who has both the ability and the commitment to establishing effective working relationships quickly to the benefit of our communities.”

The successful candidate will be required to travel extensively throughout Derbyshire to bring back the views of the public.

He or she will work with partners in the voluntary sector, local authorities, Government Departments and the police.
