Chesterfield’s long-awaited TK Maxx store opened its doors today (February 14).
Crowds of shoppers flocked to the store on Lordsmill Street with scores queuing outside for the grand opening.
The new store features this season’s must-have fashion and accessories for women, men and children as well as homeware at a fraction of the normal retail price.
The first lucky 500 customers through the doors were treated to a £10 gift card to spend in the new store.
Manager Jonathan Gibbons said: “There’s been a fantastic turn-out. There’s a real excitement and anticipation.
“I think it’ll be a big success in Chesterfield. It’s been a long time in the making and now we are here I think it will be a real boost for the town.”
He added: “It’s a really nice looking store in a good location.”
