Geoff Miller, the newly-retired national selector for the England cricket team, will also collect an OBE from the Prince of Wales during the Buckingham Palace ceremony.

He retired after a seven-year tenure which included three Ashes triumphs and saw England top the Test cricket rankings.

The 61-year-old, from Chesterfield, Derbyshire, is honoured for services to cricket.

Wales’s record try-scorer Shane Williams is set to pick up an MBE for services to rugby.

The 36-year-old wing played his last game for Wales in December, running in his record 58th try for his country.
