CHESTERFIELD: Man arrested in connection with robberies

A man has been arrested in connection with a series of robberies that took place across Chesterfield during November last year.

Five robberies took place around the town between November 4 and 22.

The robberies happened at Tesco Express, Newbold; Spar on Matlock Road; Peveril Filling Station on Sheffield Road; Spar on Ashgate Road and Co-op on Wardgate Way.

A 44-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of robbery.

He has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
