A 49-year-old woman who was taken to hospital following a two-car smash on the A617 Hasland bypass in Chesterfield is “doing well”.
The vehicles were travelling down the A617 at about 8.45am on Friday when the accident happened.
The woman casualty was airlifted to Sheffield Northern General Hospital in a critical condition.
But this morning a Derbyshire police spokesman said she was “doing well”.
The bypass was closed for several hours, causing big traffic delays around the town.
