Golden girl, Jessica Ennis, is the namesake for the latest animal to be born at Chatsworth farm - a newborn donkey.

Jessica the donkey – who was born on August 7 – will share the moniker with the Sheffield heptathlete, who wowed the nation with her gold medal-winning performance during the London 2012 Olympic games.

Born to mother Tilley and father Seamus, Jessica was delivered unaided and is already on her feet. Visitors to the farmyard are able to see Jessica the donkey until the end of the summer.

Lucky visitors may also be able to see another new born as Willow, another donkey in the farmyard, is expected to give birth within the next week.
