Charity film

A Chesterfield-based charity has been given the opportunity to tell its story by a top filmmaker.

Specialist Stroke Service has been selected for the Untold Stories scheme, which sees filmmakers volunteer their time to create professional films that demonstrate charities’ work.

The charity works to improve the lives of people in North Derbyshire who have been affected by strokes, delivering high quality services and support for their families.

Julie Wheelhouse, specialist service manager at the Specialist Stroke Service, said: “We at Specialist Stroke Services are delighted to have been chosen to have the opportunity to tell the untold story of stroke survivors and their carers in North Derbyshire.

“We are extremely excited to be able to see their inspirational stories come to life in a film and this gives us the chance to document their journey and show both the challenges and triumphs experienced along the way. We feel very privileged.”
