A cat, thought to have been deliberately kicked, has been taken to the vet with broken ribs and internal bleeding.

Police are appealing for information after the ginger tom, called Red, was found in a neighbour’s garden on Foljambe Road, Chesterfield, in distress at around noon on Saturday, June 21.

He had last been seen by his owner at 9pm on Friday, June 20.

Enquiries are being carried out locally in the Foljambe Road and Alexandra Road West area.
