DERBYSHIRE Wildlife Trust is urging High Peak residents to look after birds during the cold snap.
The current wintry conditions mean birds are fleeing the countryside and searching for food in people’s gardens.
A Derbyshire Wildlife Trust spokesman said: “You can feed birds almost anything that isn’t salty.
“Put out things like fat, cheese, old cake and broken up bread.”
