Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to an assault that took place in Buxton Market Place.
The incident happened on Thursday, March 14, between 5pm and 5.30pm on the market place near to the Eagle Public House. The victim was approached by and unknown male who assaulted him with an unknown object causing the victim to receive a puncture wound to the neck and a small scuffle then took place following this.
If anyone was in the area at the time, in particular taxi drivers that may have been parked up and witnessed this incident please contact PC Lora Campbell at Buxton Police Station on 101.
