SCOUTS are celebrating the opening of a new extension to their base.
Youngsters from the 1st Highfield Scout group, based in Newbold, are over the moon with the revamp.
In the last year the group has raised more than £30,000 to pay for the extension and to buy new equipment.
Simon Temperton, group Scout leader, said: “We are one of the biggest and most successful groups in the area offering a programme that is varied, interesting, challenging and adventurous.”
