Artist’s plea to save her studio

Studio Appeal: Cromford-based artist Rachel Pinks is using a website and looking for others to share her studio and contribute to the costs before the lease runs out.

Studio Appeal: Cromford-based artist Rachel Pinks is using a website and looking for others to share her studio and contribute to the costs before the lease runs out.

Cromford based artist Rachael Pinks is appealing for public donations to save her art studio.

Last year, Rachael successfully raised £1,700 through crowd funding website We Did This to pay for the rent on her community workspace at The Old Lock Up, Cromford.

The artist is hoping to have a similar success with her latest appeal so that her life drawing classes , children’s workshops and pop-up exhibitions can continue in the future.

“It would be such a shame to lose this facility as we offer aspiring local artists the chance to showcase their work while offering the space and facilities for beginners,”said Rachael.

The artist needs to raise £1,300 by the end of March.
