FIREFIGHTERS and police have been investigating a suspected arson attack after a large blaze at a derelict pub.
The former Old Double Six public house, on Birkenstyle Lane, Stonebroom, was discovered ablaze about 10.20pm, on Wednesday, January 9.
A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “The fire is believed to have been deliberate so investigators and police were alerted.”
Alfreton firefighters armed with a hose reel jet and breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze and made the area safe by about 11.10pm.
