Alcohol and drugs awareness event for university students in Buxton

Students are being invited to an alcohol awareness event that will feature a range of advice on the effects of drink.

Topics will include information on how alcohol can affect your physical and mental health, how drink and drugs hamper your driving and what support and advice is readily available.

There will also be free non-alcoholic cocktails served to all students and an interactive quiz.

Police from Buxton Safer Neighbourhood Team will be joined by staff from the Student Wellbeing Service at the event, which runs from 11am to 2pm, at The Dome in Buxton, on Monday, November 26.
