ON Christmas Eve, little Charlie George Harrison will be taking a starring role – as baby Jesus – at the Christingle service in Holy Trinity Church, Whaley Bridge.
The Christingle tradition in the town is to have a family with a young baby to represent the Holy Family.
Charlie, who will be just 53 days old, will appear with his parents Rebecca and Glenn.
The Christingle service is just one of a series of events taking place in the run up to Christmas.
On Sunday, December 16, Whaley Bridge Band will perform a Christmas concert in Holy Trinity church at 2.30pm. At 5pm, in the Uniting Church, there will be popular carols and the Nativity story with a bit of a twist promised!
