The Flagg Challenge 50-mile ride sets off from the hospice at 9am, on Sunday, July 26, with breathtaking views including Chatsworth House and climbs through Sheldon, Birchover and Stanton-in-the-Peak.

And thanks to JE James’s customer and DT reader Stuart Sanderson, a fantastic GPS mapping system is being made available for all entrants’ mobile phones and bike computers.

The 50 mile route includes Baslow, Ashford-in-the-Water, Flagg, Monyash, and Rowsley before returning to Ashgate Hospice.

And an alternate 25-mile ride will also set off from the hospice and goes out towards Ashford-in-the-Water and back.

Ride organiser and DT reporter Jon Cooper said: “We will be providing maps of course but with many thanks to Stuart it will be great to have a GPS back-up for those who wish to use it.”

The GPS routes include directions, distance, gradients and written instructions.
