Girl sexually assaulted in Clowne

POLICE have released this e-fit of a man suspected of sexually assaulting a teenager in Clowne.

Patrolling officers were flagged down by the 15-year-old girl on Creswell Road, Clowne, just after 12.20am on Sunday, October 16.

The teenager said she had been sexually assaulted on Hickinwood Lane.

At about 11.30pm on Saturday, October 15, she had been walking along Station Road to meet friends when she was approached by a man driving a light coloured 4x4 vehicle.

He asked for directions to Creswell and she offered to show him as she was heading in that direction.

She got into the vehicle which continued along Station Road and on to Hickinwood Lane where the driver pulled into an isolated spot and sexually assaulted the girl.

The man has been described as white, 5’9 tall, skinny build, with a bristly face and brown hair. He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a black top.

Officers are seeking assistance from anyone who may have been in the area at that time, who has information or who recognises the man in the e-fit.
