ROCKERS are to hold a charity gig in memory of a much-loved teenager who died of leukaemia.

Sixteen-year-old Naomi Smith, from Dronfield, passed away in May after being diagnosed with the cancer in January.

Now, hit bands – including Northern Mischief, HalfCutt and ARKS – will perform at the O2 Academy Sheffield on Saturday, October 8, to raise money for PACT Sheffield.

This event comes on the back of a number of other fundraising events in memory of Naomi, who was a student at Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School and played for Sheffield United Community Ladies.

Naomi’s mum, Emma, said: “She was a beautiful daughter.”

Tickets, which cost £5, are available from www.o2priority.co.uk/Artists/A-Night-To-Remember/9445 or from reception at Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School.
