Fun in the sun at the annual summer fair

The sun shone for the annual summer fair, held on Ironville Church lawns.

Organised by the united parishes of Christ Church, Ironville and St James, 
Riddings, the fair took place on Saturday, June 14.

The event was officially opened at 11am by the High Sheriff of Derbyshire David Coleman.

Fair-goers were treated to attractions and numerous stalls, 
including a host of games for children, quality white elephant items, a cake stall, a 
tombola and raffles.

Organ-grinder Patrick Cooke performed 
throughout the day, playing musical interludes with his fairground organ, said a spokesman.
