Friends’ hard work in aid of theatre

Chesterfield Theatre Friends have raised more than 3,000 through selling raffle tickets at nearly every performance of the pantomime at Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre.

This boosts the total which the Friends have raised over the past four years to over £30,000. The money has been used, among other things, to refurbish and refurnish the bar area, to purchase much needed booster cushions for children in the auditorium, to supply radio spots and other lighting equipment.

The Friends will be holding their AGM at the theatre on Monday, January 16, at 6pm, and anyone who is interested in supporting the future of the Pomegranate Theatre, and also in its history, is welcome to come along.
